Cold and Cough

COLD and COUGH- Runny/stuffy nose, mucus, headache, body ache, cough & postnasal drip if you are one of too many people who have suffered from common cough and cold you know how uncomfortable it is. We spend billions of dollars treating this, unfortunately there is no cure for common cough and cold but some step in the right direction and home remedies can be very effective.

a. Stay hydrated- Hydration is the key when you are suffering. Increasing fluid intake will keep your throat moist, fight congestion  and prevent dehydration

b. Staying warm and rested is always helpful. Your body is fighting infection, keeping it rested gives it a chance to heal better.

c. Warm liquid, chicken soup is used since ages to calm cold and down.

d. Including Vitamin C and Zinc in your daily supplement can reduce the frequency of getting cough and cold.

e. Honey is a natural remedy for cough, it coats the throats thereby reducing cough.

f. Warm herbal tea with, ginger, honey, cinnamon, clove, cardamon is probably the best cold and cough remedy we have come across.

f. Steaming shower or steam helps by loosening that mucus. Saline drops and bulb syringes work well for all age groups.
